Besson's 'The Lady' to open Rome fest

"The Lady"ROME -- Luc Besson's Aung San Suu Kyi biopic "The Lady" will open the Rome Film Festival on Oct. 27 with the Gallic helmer and stars Michelle Yeoh and David Thewlis in tow. Besson's biopic of the Burmese pacifist and human rights activist, who was awarded the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize, will have its European launch from the Eternal City Extravaganza, out-of-competition, after world preeming at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
