Comedy Central is bulking on its comedy choices. In order to expand its slate, which already includes such shows as South Park, Workaholics and Tosh., the Viacom-possessed network has purchased scripts for 3 more projects, a couple of that are animated. There'sGajillionaires, one half-hour animated show concerning the uber-wealthy Benjamin and George Krabbe as well as their misadventures on the planet of large business.Relief, corrupt senators, sycophantic cronies like Chef Boyardee and Dick Cheney as well as an great fascination with Tipper Gore are along for that ride. One of the other scripts Comedy Central has purchased:Grubstein & Grubstein, an animated comedy produced and co-executive created by Arthur Johnson andKarl Ackerman according to two twenty-something siblings who inherit a Brooklyn brownstone full of oddball tenants. Finally, the network has nabbed a script for Upstate, one half-hour narrative according to two guyswho go back to the summer time capital of scotland - their youth and live like 16 again, filled with bonfires, jet-ski races and stealing Uncle Gary's pot.The project is written and co-executive created by its stars,Jon GabrusandJustin Tyler.
