Cohen Media nabs Rohauer Film Collection
Charles S. Cohen has acquired the rights for the Raymond Rohauer Film Range of over 700 game game titles, including prints of DW Griffith's "Birth of the united states,Inch Rudolf Valentino's "Boy in the Sheik" and all of Buster Keaton's films. Cohen Media Group mentioned it expects to produce a comprehensive distribution request branding and showing the library for the marketplace through theatrical distribution, DVD release and digital delivery. The business also needs to substantially increase efforts to advertise and develop its remake rights. "There is a gold mine of classic films in this collection," Cohen mentioned. "It is just waiting being restored and seen in its full glory and where creatively relevant re-created for current day audiences." Other game game titles inside the collection include Griffith's "Intolerance" and "Orphans in the Storm," Ernest von Sternberg's "Nowhere Angel," Jean Cocteau's "Blood stream from the Poet" and several Douglas Fairbanks films including "The Crook of Bagdad" and "The Cat as well as the Canary." The Cohen Media Group can also be seeking distribution and co-financing endeavors for completely new productions too for sequels, remakes and live stage productions. The Rohauer Collection includes yet-to-be-recognized materials including: contracts, shooting scripts, filmmaker notes and lots of rare film memorabilia. Cohen noted that only 10% in the Rohauer Collection, presently situated at various sites in the usa like the Library of Congress and Europe, has been created available and demonstrated for the public. Cohen produced Cohen Media Group in 2008 and also the organization will be a producer on "Frozen River." It's released "Outdoors regulations,In . directed by Rachid Bouchareb, and "Chasing after after Madoff," an adaption of "Nobody Would Listen," by Harry Markopolos, and may release "My Days With Margueritte" starring Gerard Depardieu, later this month.
